Data Deletion Policy

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users of Drippy, a service operated by Drippy Inc., can request deletion of their account and personal data. This policy satisfies Meta / Facebook / WhatsApp's requirements for user data removal.

1. Overview

Drippy processes account information, business data, and messaging-related content solely to operate the Service. Users may request full account and data deletion at any time. Upon receiving a verified request, Drippy Inc. will permanently delete or anonymize personal information as required by law and in accordance with this Policy.

2. How to Request Account & Data Deletion

Because Drippy does not currently offer a self-service delete button, users may request deletion by emailing:

Your message must include:

  • your account email address
  • the business/store name associated with the account
  • a clear statement requesting account deletion and data deletion

We may request additional verification to confirm identity.

3. What Happens When You Request Account Deletion

Once we verify your request:

3.1 Account Closure

  • Your entire Drippy account will be permanently closed.
  • You will no longer have access to any data, settings, integrations, or history.
  • We do not offer account "suspension" — deletion is a permanent action.

3.2 Deletion of Platform Data

We will delete:

  • account profile information
  • store information and setup details
  • authentication and login identifiers
  • WhatsApp integration tokens
  • templates, settings, and configuration files

3.3 Deletion of Customer Data

All customer contact data uploaded by you (names, phone numbers, tags, notes, etc.) will be permanently deleted unless you request an export before deletion.

3.4 Chat History, Analytics & Aggregated Insights

Stored message logs and line sheet interaction records will be permanently deleted from your operational dashboard upon request. However, we reserve the right to retain Anonymized Data Points (e.g., "A product in the 'Denim' category was viewed for 30 seconds") that have been stripped of all PII (names, phone numbers, specific store IDs). This data is used solely for district-level trend analysis and cannot be traced back to you or your customers.

3.5 Billing Information

For legal and tax compliance:

  • transaction records may be retained as required by law
  • payment methods and billing metadata stored by Stripe will be removed from our operational systems but may remain in Stripe's records per their policies

3.6 Backups

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, after which it is automatically purged. Backup data is not used for any operational purpose.

3.7 Certificate of Deletion

Upon successful completion of the deletion process, Drippy Inc. can provide a formal Confirmation of Erasure upon request. This satisfies Meta's "User Data Deletion" requirements for Business Solution Providers.

4. Data That Cannot Be Immediately Deleted

We may retain limited information where necessary to:

  • comply with legal, financial, and tax obligations
  • protect against fraud or misuse
  • enforce our Terms of Service
  • resolve disputes

Only the minimum required data is retained, and it is not used for any other purpose.

5. Deleting Linked Meta / WhatsApp Data

If you connected a WhatsApp Business phone number or Meta account via Drippy:

  • Disconnecting your Meta integration can also be done from your Meta Business dashboard.
  • Meta, WhatsApp, or Facebook may retain their own logs; deleting your Drippy account does not delete data stored by Meta products.
  • Refer to Meta's privacy terms for their deletion procedures.

6. Deletion Timeline

  • Most account and data deletions are completed within 14 days of verification.
  • Backup deletion occurs automatically within 30 days.

7. End-Consumer (Buyer) Rights

If you are a buyer whose data was uploaded by a Merchant, you may request that your personal information be "Suppressed" or "Deleted" across the Drippy ecosystem. To do so, email support@heydrippy.com with your phone number. We will remove your PII from all Merchant databases and our internal logs within 30 days.
